We are looking for a Technical and System Officer

Purpose of Position:

Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) is a locally registered non-profit foundation. Over the past five years, we've successfully proven our food rescue model to fight food waste in Thailand. We are seeking to expand our operations, hence requiring the development of technical and system capability! In the coming year, we'll be the leading agent in the National Food Bank initiative in Thailand, developing the matchmaking platform, expanding our reach to the national level. Through well-strategized and well-funded projects, the position of Technical and System officers will be essential to ensure all of the technical tasks in the foundation operate smoothly and support the overall system in the organization.

Job Description:

1. Operate, maintain, and develop the technical support system within the organization.

2. Plan operational system workflow for internal training and online-learning session. Coordinate with technical vendors and collect technical support issues according to the needs and development plans.

3. Communicate with Key stakeholders and potential sponsors for the platform.

4. Seek out the potential proposal in funding sponsorship for the technical environment in the organization.

5. Identify technical needs from the internal team and external technical resources to maintain and operate the Cloud Food Bank Platform.

6. Respond to possible internal and external troubleshoots and technical requests, and resolve the issues if capable.

7. Coordinate internally and externally to ensure the project activities will be effectively conducted as planned. 

8. Performs other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Thai Nationality

2. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, Bachelor Degree in Computer OR Software Engineer is an advantage

3. Fresh Graduate are welcome, 1-2 years of working experience in technical support for NGOs background are an advantage

4. Service-minded, good problem-solving skills, Can-Do attitude

5. Willingness to perform a variety of tasks

6. Ability to work autonomously in a multi-cultural environment

7. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

8. Proficient in Microsoft Software Environment: Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive are an advantage

9. Proficient in Website Software Environment: CMS System, Firebase, WordPress, and Wix is an advantage

10. Experience with any of Webservice API, XML, JSON, C#, C++, iOS, or Android are advanced advantages

11. Good command of English both written and spoken

12. Good communication and presentation skills and can work independently

Key Relationships:

• Internal Team: Report to Project Supervisor under Outreach Team, Coordinate with Operations Team, and Local Managers.

• External Stakeholders: Office visitors, Key Stakeholders, and Governmental Agencies

Work Time:

• 40 hours a week, must be able to work some evenings and weekends.

• Vacation 10 days and 14 public holidays.

• Sick leave with doctor’s proof after a 3-day period, up to a maximum of 30 days.

• Probation period of 90 days.

Compensation:

• Negotiable based on experience.

• Health coverage after a probation period of 90 days.
