Objectives of the Position
The Marketing and Communications Executive will contribute to the development and implementation of marketing and communications strategies that promote all aspects of the Scholars of Sustenance Foundation’s values, presence, and works, also inspire the external stakeholders to engage with SOS in order to raise awareness about Food Waste and Hunger issues. The role is varied and fast-paced and includes planning, social media marketing, public relations, event organization, and research. This position will work in close collaboration with the Outreach Manager.
Job Descriptions
Contribute to the development of integrated marketing activities and communications
Act as a brand guardian ensuring all internal and external materials are consistent in tone of voice, messaging, and visual identity
Oversee all social media accounts management and analyze social media performance
Develop engaging, creative, innovative content for regularly scheduled posts that will enlighten audiences and promote SOS-focused messages (I.e., partners recognition, funds/ food raising, and SOS food programs)
Manage social media interns, including those who take roles of copywriter and content creators, by overseeing their work and offering guidance or direction
Protect SOS and partnered brands’ reputation through social monitoring (I.e., responding to online comments, feedback, reviews, and complaints) as well as the development of a crisis management plan
Manage PR and media relations to raise brand awareness and company profile, identifying and utilizing PR opportunities to reinforce the company’s credibility
Manage the production of marketing materials, including e-newsletters, online and offline marketing collaterals for campaigns (I.e., infographics, posters, banners, etc.)
Write and produce monthly newsletters and feature articles/ press releases
Plan and execute events with other team members from start to finish according to requirements, target audience, budget, and objectives
Evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and events as well as identify and take action on areas for improvement
Attend internal and external meetings, events, and presentations as required
Requirements
Thai National with excellent written and spoken Thai and English. Ability to interpret during meetings
Bachelor's degree in Marketing/ Communications or minimum 2 years of working experience in related field
Extensive knowledge of social media platforms, design fundamentals, and event management
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and build strong relations with partners/ donors
Able to work independently and as a team member, and possess strong project management skills
High skills in essential software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CRM, etc.)
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, OR other online graphic design webapp such as Canva, AND video editing.
Able to travel if needed within the country
Desired Qualifications:
Background with NGOs
Strong communications, content creation, proofreading, and creative skills
Public relations and brand marketing experience
Familiar with the latest social media tools
Key Relationships:
Internal: Report to Outreach Manager, Coordinate with all Outreach team members, Operations Team, and Local Managers
External: Strategic SOS Partners, Media Partner, Event Organizers, and Marketing Suppliers
Work Time:
40 hours a week, must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
10 days of vacation and 14 public holidays.
Sick leave with doctor’s proof after a 3-day period, up to a maximum of 30 days.
Probation period of 90 days.
Compensation:
Negotiable based on experience.
Health coverage after a probation period of 90 days.
