Tops Market and Central Food Hall from Central Retail Group have partnered with Scholars of Sustenance Thailand to distribute "Better Together 2021
survival bags" to COVID-19 and flooding victims in Pathum Thani and Nonthaburi with a total of 567 bags. These bags contain rice, canned fish, instant noodles, surgical masks, and daily necessities.
.
We brought these bags to the Kredtrakarn Protection and Occupational Development Center in Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi. It is a foundation that protects victims of human trafficking as well as an Assistance and Welfare Protection Centre for Women. The area had been flooded for more than a month as a result of the nearby Chao Phraya River rising due to heavy rain.
.
A Muslim community in Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani is one of the vulnerable groups that have been affected by this pandemic. Khlong Luang had experienced a high number of infection cases in the most recent mid-year cluster. The community has been struggling since then due to the loss of income and infection cases in the area.
.
This time, Bua Phet Rescue Team had also helped us to distribute the bags to the recipients that we were unable to reach out to. We would like to thank Bua Phet Rescue Team and most importantly, Tops and Central Food Hall from Central Retail Group who donated and encouraged consumers to participate in this donation. Thank you!
