The Saitarn Foundation and The Khun Veera Kusol SongKroa Foundation donated 2.4 tons of rice to SOS

Since rice is one of the main staple foods in Thailand, represents a significant portion of our country’s economy, and we are the second largest exporter of rice in the world, the SOS Organisation would like to tell a story about rice donations today.

.

The Saitarn Foundation together with The Khun Veera Kusol SongKroa Foundation have donated 800 bags, or 2400 kilograms of rice, where the Rescue Kitchen Program and the Food Rescue Program have distributed these rice bags to different communities. These communities include the Wang Thonglang Kitchen Community, Bangplad Community Kitchen, and the Lad Phachi Kitchen community in which they cook foods for quarantined people in communities. The Wang Thonglang Community has cooked food for 19 communities in their district, the Bangplad for 16, also in their district, and the Lad Pachi for 5 similar communities. Other than cooking foods, for numerous communities, these kitchen communities also act as waiting centers.

.

The SOS organization would like to thank the Sai Than Foundation for their rice donation and our Thai families in the different provinces who have helped those in Bangkok. We were pleased to see one another helping each other and deeply appreciate the kind action, especially in a time like this. Our organization encourages and invites everyone to take part in our program by providing financial assistance, volunteering, and/or food donations to help those who are in need in this critical situation.
