SOS received 24 tons of fresh ginger from Sansiri who donated through Cloud Food Bank platform

Scholars of Sustenance Foundation Thailand received 24 tons of fresh ginger from Sansiri.

.

Sansiri purchased 80 tons of fresh ginger at a price higher than the market price from villagers that suffering from low prices in Chiang Rai.

.

Sansiri has foreseen the Foundation's work in rescuing surplus food. Therefore, 24 tons of fresh ginger has been donated to SOS to distribute to vulnerable communities.

In this mission to save fresh ginger, both SOS team in Bangkok and Chiang Mai have collaborated to deliver ginger to our community networks in Chiang Mai itself as well as in other provinces including Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Lampang, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chainat, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Ayutthaya, Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi and Bangkok.

The Foundation is very honored that Sansiri Public Company Limited has donated this fresh ginger both to help farmers and help reduce the amount of food waste that will occur in the future.

Sansiri invites everyone to support farmers at the Sansiri Backyard on September 16-18 from 3.00-18.00 hrs.
