SOS Phuket Celebrated The International Day of Persons with Disabilities in December

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities #IDPD was celebrated last month. It's a motive to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society to the fact that 7 billion or approximately 15 percent of the world’s population, live with some form of disability and they have been affected “disproportionately” by the health, social and economic consequences of the global issues. This year's theme “Leadership and participation of persons with disabilities toward an inclusive, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 world”, emphasizes how important to lift up their standard of living.

.

SOS also put people with disabilities as the top priority among other types of recipients, especially at our SOS Phuket branch where Jack, our Phuket Food Rescue Manager has always been working with the local disability association to deliver good food for families of people with disabilities and all staffs there. We hope that we have helped them reduce the cost of buying meals in some ways.

.

SOS values cleanliness, transparency, and safety at every step of our procedures so that we can create the best system and opportunity for everyone to have equal access to good food.

.
