Rescue Farm Program Expands to Bangkok and Donates Surplus Produce to Refugee Volunteers

Updated: Mar 22, 2023

Last year, the Rescue Farm Program was launched in Chiang Mai to help reduce the loss of agricultural production caused by various factors. Thanks to its success, we're excited to announce that the program has now expanded to our Bangkok branch with the same goal in mind.

We're pleased to report that the program is already making a positive impact. Recently, City Farm Thailand donated 10.12 kilograms of fresh vegetables that exceeded the demand and could not be eaten in time to our SOS Bangkok branch. We passed on these agricultural products to Uncle Chot, who is a volunteer that takes care of refugee groups in the Pracha Uthit area. This donation helps to provide much-needed nutrition to those in need and prevents food waste.

We're grateful to City Farm Thailand for their generosity and commitment to reducing food waste. If you're interested in donating food as well, you can register at https://cloudfoodbank.org.

At SOS, we're dedicated to supporting our local communities and reducing the loss of agricultural production. If you'd like to support our mission, please visit https://taejai.com/th/d/sos-foodrescue/. Together, we can make a positive impact and create a more sustainable future for everyone.
