On 18th March 2020, we received 3.9 Tons of dry noodles from Bangkok Ranch PLC, plus the energy bars surpluses from Sunshine Market. Together with Tairom Phabaramee Volunteer Networks, the volunteer group helped us distributed supplies to fire rangers in different national parks in Thailand (Chiang Mai, Lampang, Chaiyaphum, Phrae, Phetchabun) for around 300 people, and to 50 people that are working on the project of transporting fresh water in Khao Somphot Wildlife No Hunting Area, so wild animals can drink some water during the forest fire, drought, and increasingly high temperature.
The Military Volunteer Group also opened a temporary kitchen that cooked for students and communities in Baan Titaukee School and distributed food to 776 people in 4 communities in Omkoi District, Chiang Mai Province. By working together, we help these people in remote places to have access to good food
Whatever extra surplus food we rescue, whatever bulk food donation we receive, we will do our best to reach as many vulnerable people as we can. Our doors are open to any food donation (perishable and non-perishable). Even with the limitation on logistics (space and transportation), we will always find a way. By mutual collaborations, it is possible as SOS continues to aim in spreading the distribution of food in different parts of the country.
