While leaving from delivering surplus food to the local community, the foundation team stopped by Auntie Yao's shop to buy pineapples. She is a farmer in Thap Tai Subdistrict, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. As a consequence, the team had the opportunity to discuss the goals and objectives of SOS Hua Hin with Auntie Yao, and they also exchanged phone numbers before leaving, which Auntie stated, "If there is anything that may be donated, I will contact you."
.
A few days later, Auntie donated 35.18 kg of high-quality surplus agricultural goods that she had grown herself, such as bananas, pineapples, and bamboo shoots. Consequently, the SOS Hua Hin team decided to distribute these surplus fruit and vegetables via the Food Rescue Program to 2 communities, which are the Sam Phraya Santisuk community, a Muslim-majority village where most villagers can only consume foods indicated with a halal label, and the Ban Huai Sai Tai community, a vulnerable community. The total of surplus agricultural goods were donated to approximately 35 individuals in both communities.
.
Foundation would like to thank Auntie Yao for your assistance and contribution to a more sustainable society and environment.
