2nd Anniversary of implementing the Rescue Kitchen Program served the communities

More than rescuing food, we desire to serve warm and nutritious meals to the undernourished communities, especially during their trying time. The rescued surplus food and ingredients are distributed and creatively cooked right at the community kitchens across different locations. The Rescue Kitchen Program is thriving as it has been shaping extensive associations among the volunteers, neighbors, and their communities. It is truly a meal “cooked by the community, for the community” to relish and relieve.

.

After implementing the Rescue Kitchen Program for two years this July, SOS Thailand has used a total of 403,995 kilograms of surplus food, converting it into 1,696,780 meals.

.

This project would not have been possible without the support of Ford Thailand to support the place MK Restaurants for sponsoring food equipment and meat, Hilton Hotels and Marriott sending chefs to educate community volunteers, and the Embassy of Switzerland in Thailand for supporting last year

.

And what is indispensable is community volunteers and volunteers from JitArsaBank who took part in the project to deliver cooked food to communities in Bangkok, Phuket, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai.
