  • What is zero summit?
    The food waste and sustainability summit serves as the platform for the discussion for different stakeholders in the food industry with the focus on reducing food waste and promoting better food waste management and food rescue initiative within Thailand. The ZERO SUMMIT kickstarted in 2021 amidst the peak of COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand urging the collaboration and support from all sectors to achieve better food system in Thailand that are more resilient, sustainable, and regenerative.
  • How can I register for Zero summit?
    To register for Zero Summit 2024, please visit the Scholar of Sustenance website. If you encounter any issues with registration, don't hesitate to reach out to us at info@scholarsofsustenance.org for assistance.
  • Is there a fee for parking?
    Parking is free for the first 1-2 hours at both BJC Tower and Gateway Mall. For 2-6 hours, the rate is 20 baht per hour. If you spend 500 baht or more, you can enjoy free parking by having your ticket stamped at the information counter on the M floor.
  • How can I become a sponsor?
    To become a sponsor, please reach out to Ms. Sahatthaya Kraikhunthot, our Fundraising and Partnership Manager, at Sahatthaya.K@scholarsofsustenance.org.
  • How can I obtain photos after the event ends?
    After the event, photos and videos will be available on our website. Look for the button that links to the drive where all media from the event will be gathered and accessible to everyone. Alternatively, you can go to this link: [insert link here].

    To receive an Event Summary, our team will send it to the email address you used to register, at least one week after the event concludes.
  • What is the Scholars of Sustenance Foundation?
    The Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing food waste and combating hunger by redistributing surplus food to those in need. Founded in 2016, SOS operates in multiple countries (Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia), working with food donors, volunteers, and partner organizations to provide nutritious meals to underprivileged communities.
  • How can I get involved with SOS?
    There are several ways to get involved with SOS, including volunteering, donating food, making financial contributions, and partnering with SOS as a food donor or community organization.   • Is the surplus food provided by SOS safe to consume?
    Yes, SOS takes food safety very seriously. All collected food is thoroughly inspected and handled according to strict safety guidelines to ensure it is safe for consumption. The foundation works with food safety experts to maintain the highest standards.
  • How can I donate surplus food to SOS?
    If you wish to donate surplus food, please contact us to arrange a pickup or drop-off.   • How has SOS impacted communities since 2017?
    Since 2017, SOS has made a significant impact by serving 41 million meals to communities, rescuing and donating 9.7 million kilograms of food, and reducing CO2e emissions by 16.2 million kilograms. This information is current as of July 2024.
